| GRATITUDE, founded in early 1996 by Julie Berry Umbach, evolved from a desire to develop innovative, gracious ways of expressing Gratitude. Originally conceived as unusual wedding favors, our boxes have also been used as invitations, attendants' gifts, jewelry boxes, bar mitzvah favors and corporate gifts.
GRATITUDE creates charming boxes of original design. They begin as an oil or watercolor painting which is reproduced on high quality paper, then permanently affixed to a sturdy chipboard box. Many of our boxes are intricately hand-finished with organza ribbon, silk roses or pearl buttons. Our tea boxes come filled with a pair of tea sachets. Floral boxes contain miniature glassine envelopes of heirloom seeds resting on a bed of aromatic lavender. We also offer fragrant silk organza pillows to tuck into the boxes. With a personalized message from the giver, these small keepsakes convey a heartfelt expression of gratitude and provide a lasting reminder of the day as the seeds are planted, the tea is sipped, the pochette is tucked under a pillow and the box becomes a favorite cache for personal treasures. |
